Visiting Our Apparel Factories in Foshan, China

To kick off our latest trip to China, we flew into Guangzhou before jumping in a Didi to Foshan - the city where many of our apparel manufacturing partners are based. It was the perfect base for the first few days of our trip, allowing us to visit every stage of the production process and spend valuable time with the people behind our products.

Our account manager, Koko, flew in from Hong Kong to meet us and guide us through the factories. Having someone who knows the teams, the processes and the industry inside out made the experience incredibly valuable.

Our first stop was the print factory, where we were welcomed with big smiles, green tea and incredible hospitality. Beyond that, it was a real eye-opener to see the level of printing technology available. From specialty finishes to advanced techniques, it gave us plenty of ideas for future Natty collections. Walking into the sample room and seeing our Signature Tee hanging alongside samples from some of Australia's biggest brands was a proud moment. It reassured us that we'd partnered with one of the best.

Next was the embroidery factory, where thousands of patches were being stitched with incredible precision. One thing that stood out across every factory was how clean, organised and well-maintained everything was. It reinforced just how much pride goes into producing quality garments.

From there, we visited the milling factory, where our fabrics begin. Watching raw yarn transformed into premium materials gave us a whole new appreciation for everything that happens before a garment is even cut.

Our final stop was the knitted garment factory, where our pieces come together. This was easily the most exciting part of the day. We walked through the production line, even spotting our Can't Go Wrong Tee being pressed before getting our first look at the SMS samples for our next collection. Seeing months of development finally come to life and being able to fine-tune every detail before production - was a huge highlight.

Trips like these are about much more than quality control. They're about learning, building stronger relationships with our manufacturing partners and continually improving every product we make.

Every visit leaves us with new ideas, better processes and an even greater appreciation for the craftsmanship behind our work.

The more we learn, the better products we can create. And that's something we'll never stop investing in.
