Safety Certifications & Standards
When it comes to eye protection, there’s no room for shortcuts. Every pair of Natty safety glasses is independently tested and certified to meet recognised Australian and international safety standards, so you can trust they’re made for real work on real sites.
We don’t just design our glasses to look good - we design them to protect.
Independently Tested by Intertek
All Natty safety glasses are tested and certified by Intertek, a globally recognised independent testing and certification body. Their role is to verify that our eyewear meets strict safety requirements through controlled laboratory testing - not assumptions, not self-certification.
This means when you wear Natty on site, you’re wearing eyewear that has been properly assessed against industry standards.
Certified to AS/NZS 1337.1 (Medium Impact)
Every pair of Natty safety glasses is certified to AS/NZS 1337.1, the Australian and New Zealand standard for eye and face protection.
This certification confirms that our glasses provide medium impact protection, making them suitable for a wide range of trade and construction environments where eye hazards are present, including flying particles, debris and impact risks commonly found on site.
AS/NZS 1337.1 is the standard required on most Australian and New Zealand worksites and is widely accepted across construction, carpentry, landscaping, concreting and general trade applications.
Certified to ANSI Z87.1
In addition to local standards, Natty Kenneth and Rev safety glasses are also certified to ANSI Z87.1, the leading safety eyewear standard used in the United States and recognised globally.
ANSI Z87.1 testing assesses impact resistance, optical clarity and overall lens and frame performance. Meeting both AS/NZS and ANSI standards ensures our glasses stand up to demanding environments worldwide - not just at home.
What This Means for You
Being certified to both AS/NZS 1337.1 (medium impact) and ANSI Z87.1 means your Natty safety glasses:
- are approved for use on Australian and New Zealand worksites
- meet recognised international safety benchmarks
- provide tested impact protection, not just visual coverage
- comply with site safety and PPE requirements
- deliver confidence that your eye protection is doing its job
Simply put, they’re made to protect and proven to do so.
Made for the Trades That Wear Them
Natty safety glasses are designed for trades who expect more from their gear. Whether you’re on site all day, moving between environments, or working around tools and materials that demand proper eye protection, our certified lenses and frames are made to perform. Eye protection only works if it’s worn and trust starts with certification.
