The Can’t Go Wrong campaign has been one of the most meaningful things we’ve done at Natty so far.
This campaign was about being intentional - making sure the way we introduced our first workwear collection reflected who we are and how we approach building things.
When we started thinking about the teaser, our inspiration came from the good old days, when news was delivered by hand, stories were tangible, and ideas were given time to breathe. That’s where the paperboy concept came from.
Instead of simply announcing a collection, I loved the idea of literally breaking the news. We created custom Natty breaking-news newspapers and used them as a thread throughout the campaign. Simple, tactile, and nostalgic. Having the founder out delivering the news himself felt like an honest and fitting way to introduce our first workwear drop.
To bring it to life, we shot on a street in Mermaid Beach, surrounded by original beach bungalows. The setting was unchanged, full of character, and quietly confident, exactly the feeling we wanted the collection to carry.
Massive credit to Nathan, who absolutely nailed the brief. From the shots to the pacing and music, everything came together in a way that felt considered and aligned with how we try to approach Natty.
Following on from the teaser, we wanted the campaign hero video to carry that same nostalgic tone but with more energy and a premium, editorial edge. The pace lifted, while still keeping everything grounded, timeless, and deliberate.
Once again, Nathan played a huge role in achieving that cinematic feel. His ability to balance mood, detail, and momentum is what gave the video its impact.
We were lucky to have Ben, Harry, and Jill as talent, each bringing their own presence and energy to the shoot. A big thanks as well to Tom, who captured the stills throughout the day. Those in-between moments, the details and movement became some of our favourite parts of the campaign.
This collection and this campaign took 18 months to get to this point. A lot of thought, testing, feedback, and care went into every piece. Seeing it land and seeing how people have responded has been incredibly rewarding.
We’ve been so stoked with the support so far. Some clear favourites have already emerged, and it’s safe to say the Natty crew has great taste.
